Five days to discover the future of Sweet Foodservice
From January 16 to 20, 2026, Rimini once again becomes the beating heart of innovation with SIGEP – The World Expo for Foodservice Excellence, organised by IEG (Italian Exhibition Group). An international event that, for over forty years, has celebrated the creativity, technical expertise and quality of Made in Italy, bringing together the major sectors of Sweet Foodservice, including gelato, pastry, chocolate, coffee, bakery and pizza.
This year too, Borin® will be there with innovative solutions for industrial hygiene, supporting a sector that is becoming increasingly sustainable and high-performing.
The 2026 edition focuses on three key themes: internationalisation, innovation and training. In addition to the established thematic areas, the format is enriched with new experiences such as the Luxury Food Experience, dedicated to solutions for high-end hospitality, and the Innovation Bar, a space to explore new frontiers of foodservice in the most modern and high-profile settings. India, the guest country, will bring to the exhibition a unique blend of artisanal traditions and new trends, with live demonstrations and B2B meetings to explore opportunities in a rapidly growing market.

Gelato
The beating heart of the exhibition. The dedicated areas offer a comprehensive overview of production technologies, new flavours and natural ingredients that are reshaping the world of artisan gelato.
Pastry and Chocolate
The latest trends in fine pastry and chocolate craftsmanship, with live demonstrations by leading international masters and a focus on the sustainability of raw materials.
Coffee
From coffee bean cultivation to the latest extraction technologies, the coffee sector explores every stage of the supply chain. In 2026, there will once again be a strong focus on training and sustainability, two key themes for the coffee community.
Bakery
SIGEP showcases the evolution of bread and baked goods through new flours, natural leavening processes and technologies that combine creativity with applied research.
Pizza
An area entirely dedicated to pizza, a symbol of Made in Italy, where craftsmanship and experimentation come together through workshops, competitions and tastings.

- Gelato World Cup, the challenge featuring the world’s top gelato masters
- Pastry World Cup, celebrating the creativity and technical expertise of the leading names in pastry
- Bread in the City – Bakery World Cup, the championship dedicated to master bakers
- Coffee Competitions, showcasing outstanding baristas and coffee roasters
- World Pizza Champion Games, where the best pizza chefs compete through research, precision and passion
These competitions reflect the exhibition’s global influence, combining technical skill and product culture while offering visitors an experience of the highest professional level.
SIGEP is also a major hub for international connections and business relationships.
Each year, it hosts over 180,000 visitors from more than 160 countries, including importers, distributors, restaurant chains and Ho.Re.Ca. industry professionals.
The Hosted Buyers programme facilitates connections between companies and high-level decision-makers, while the Vision Plaza and Start-up Area provide dedicated spaces for training, innovation, meetings and conferences on new market trends.
