From September 25 to 26, 2024, Bergamo will host a new edition of B2Cheese, the Italian trade fair dedicated to professionals across the dairy supply chain. This annual event, taking place at the Bergamo Exhibition Centre, is a key reference point for producers, affineurs and companies in the sector, including suppliers of technologies for cheese production and distribution. Its main objective is to promote excellence in the dairy sector and connect supply and demand, with a particular focus on high-quality niche segments.
CONFERENCES AND INSIGHTS
The programme includes several thematic conferences, including one organised by PwC that will address key topics such as sustainability and digitalisation in the dairy sector—two of the most important challenges for the modern food industry. New market opportunities will also be explored, along with how emerging technologies can improve product traceability.
Gran Premio del Formaggiaio (Cheesemonger Grand Prix)
One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the Gran Premio del Formaggiaio, a competition organised by the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers. This highly anticipated event brings together the best Italian cheesemongers, recognising talent and creativity in cheese handling and presentation. Participants are evaluated on their skills in cutting, storage and enhancing the organoleptic characteristics of the products.
The winner of the Grand Prix will represent Italy at the prestigious Mondial du Fromage, to be held in Tours, France, in 2025. This event celebrates the craftsmanship and passion that define excellence in Italian cheesemaking.
