Brushing of solid residues from soles and wheels;
Sanitisation by immersion in a tank filled with water and a suitable product;
Containment and regulation of the liquid level via an integrated overflow;
Visual monitoring of the cleaning status via collection slots;
Safe removal of the modules using extraction keys;
Configuration of the brushing direction depending on the pedestrian or wheeled traffic configuration.
Cleaning is carried out through brushing of solid residues and sanitisation by immersion: the drain pan is filled with water and a suitable product, while dirty water drains through a dedicated 50 mm outlet.
In the recessed wet configuration, an AISI 304L stainless steel overflow is integrated to keep the liquid level inside the containment drain pan regulated, preventing spills.
The mat consists of machined POM C modules with Stylon 66 bristles secured with stainless steel clips, housed in a 4 mm-thick AISI 304L stainless steel drain pan recessed into the floor.
Stylon 66 bristles are technical nylon filaments designed for modular brushes, resistant to moisture and high temperatures to maintain stable performance over time.
The wave arrangement of the bristles is designed to clean soles and wheels effectively and guide foreign matter towards collection slots, which also allow visual checking of the mat condition and its cleaning status.
The modules are fully removable and can be safely extracted using two dedicated keys, simplifying routine cleaning.
The brush design provides two positioning directions to select the most suitable brushing action: for wheeled traffic, a bristle arrangement parallel to the direction of travel is recommended to reduce vibrations and make brushing more continuous, while for pedestrian use, a bristle arrangement perpendicular to the direction of travel is recommended to promote repeated scraping of soles in the presence of heavy soiling.
